Dear Mr. Parrish,

I am writing to thank you for representing me in the above case.
All that remains, therefore, is this individual expression of gratitude.

It was obvious that you put forth your best effort on my behalf. You were both adroit and adept, and you maintained a distinguished composure and command that was reassuring to me as your client. Of even more comfort, however, was your gentle kindness and patience. The first qualities I mentioned make you a great attorney. Your compassion and forbearance make you a better man.

And, for that, I thank you.

Sincerely,

S.H.-McLean, VA

I chose the Parrish Law Firm to represent me ultimately because Mr. Parrish treated me and my DUI case more seriously than firms I had previously interviewed. At our initial meeting Mr. Parrish had already reviewed everything I was able to give him ahead of time, so he was prepared to deal with me and all my questions. I had looked over the firm's website beforehand and found a lot of useful, well-designed material relevant to my case, so I think I was able to ask better questions during the interview. Mr. Parrish ran various scenarios with me and their likely outcomes, filled in gray areas, and explained some of the subtleties in the law that I didn't understand -- all of which I took as a sign of experience, not just with the law, but with clients. In the end though, he impressed upon me the seriousness of the charge and what the reality of the consequences was, none of which had really been driven home up to that point.

Once I hired the firm, we went straight to work. Mr. Parrish laid out his strategy which included homework for me. He gave me a list of things that only I could do which would ultimately put us in a stronger position going in to court. On court day, I had already been told what to expect, so the fast pace and quick decisions we had to make weren't a surprise. Mr. Parrish appeared to be well-connected in the court system, obviously knew his way around and made the procedural part of things as painless as possible. Throughout the negotiation process he explained what was going on and gave me his opinions so I could make the best choices possible. In the end, I believe the outcome was probably better than we could have ever hoped!

On September 19, 2008 my life radically changed in an instant when I was crashed into by an SUV driven by a negligent woman in Manassas. I was visiting from the state of New York and had a busy agenda ahead of me; all that changed.

After being medically discharged, my second crash occurred. Namely, trying to get services from my and the other driver's insurance carriers. This nightmare was/is actually worse than the crash itself. After paying my insurance premiums all these years, I found myself victimized again by the insurance company paid to protect my interests in the event of an accident.

Fortunately, I found the local law firm of Jim Parrish and I contacted him via his website. Within the day of contact, Jim Parrish replied immediately and offered to set up a face-to-face appointment to discuss my accident. Due to obstacles from a lack of transportation, I had to postpone the first appointment time offered.

However, free of charge, directly from the website download, I was able to acquire the most valuable tool in my pursuit of insurance "justice". I am speaking of "The Virginia Accident Guide" authored by attorney Jim Parrish and provided with no strings attached. This small easily readable pamphlet clearly laid out exactly what I should expect in the insurance scrimmage that inevitably ensues when a citizen is involved in a car accident.

I read it thoroughly and then I re-read it to make sure I had the best defenses for my future encounters with the 2 insurance firms involved. The pamphlet is very readable and comfortable. The language is clear as a bell and does not speak in condescending lawyerly vocabulary. Jim Parrish's writing style is as comfortable as chatting with a neighbor over coffee. And, best of all, it contains valuable information I needed to get started taking on those insurance companies.

What was quite evident after reading this booklet is that I probably was not going to be Jim Parrish's client due to the small scale of my accident. Although I knew my case did not satisfy M. Parrish's criteria, he insisted on meeting me anyway. At our appointed time, Mr. Parrish thoroughly read and reviewed all my medical and government/legal documents and then provided free legal advice on the spot; knowing he would probably never be able to represent me for his own profit.

A lawyer's only stock is his time to paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, and Mr. Parrish certainly made a generous contribution of his time the hour of our appointment. I am and continue to be grateful to Mr. Parrish's generosity of spirit and his invaluable booklet, "The Virginia Accident Guide" for illuminating several of the insurance company’s tactics and strategies used to delay and minimize the customer's rights and reparations. Thanks to his publication, I have a more functional language and powerful toolset to verbally spar with the insurers and get results.

I highly recommend others who find themselves thrust into a similar situation to check out his website and download his booklet. Better still, get it in printed format and keep it in your glove compartment in your vehicles along with your registration and insurance cards. You won't be disappointed... and it's free!

Yours truly,
Lorraine Jackson-Ordia
